Basketball
This team has enjoyed an excellent season which continued in this tournament. They placed 2nd losing in the final to a strong Hastings BHS combination.

Hockey
The 1st XI ended 3rd at this tournament after winning all of its pool games. The crossover against Palmerston North BHS  was dominated by TBC after the opposition scored early but they could not score the equalizer and Hamilton BHS were victorious while TBC won the playoff for third.
Football After an impressive start to the season the footballers hoped for a successful Super 8 campaign however the tournament did not go as well as the boys had hoped and with a win & loss record they ended up 5th.

Rugby
The 1st XV has been depleted by injury in recent times but completed their Super 8 campaign with a fine 22-11 win over Gisborne BHS.  Next weekend they play Rotorua BHS (away) again and victory there would see them
In the holidays there were 10 TBC players selected in a 50 man Chiefs 5 day camp @ St. Peters with 12 from Hamilton & only 4 from Rotorua. Five of our players (Connor Fifita,  Christian Kelly, Mungo Mason, Aiden Ross & Ben Webby) were picked to play in the trial match.

A SPORTING WEEKEND

In what would be one of our best week-ends of sports results basketball, hockey, rugby  and squash all had successes ……….

Squash – Our team retained the National Championship they won for the first time in 2012 with a 3-1 win in the final against Westlake BHS.

Rugby – The 1st XV beat Rotorua BHS for the second time this season in Rotorua 32-22 which qualifies them as BOP champions to play either Wesley College or Hamilton BHS in a televised match at TBC on Sunday September 1st at 12.45 p.m. for a place in the top 4. The last year we had won in Rotorua was in 1991 so this has been quite a turn around.

Hockey
 – The 1st XI hosted a quad tournament featuring last year’s Rankin Cup finalists  in Kings College & Westlake BHS as well as Hamilton BHS who have 5 NZ Under 18 players and are raging hot favourites to win this year. We beat Kings (5-4) and Westlake (2-1) before getting a salutary lesson by HBHS in losing 1-7.

Basketball – Both the Senior A & Junior A teams claimed BOP titles with the Seniors  winning their final 137 – 41 against Bethlehem College.
